  Abstract &
  Background
Based on RGB space decomposition for color images, the basic operators in color morphology are implemented by the fuzzy cellular neural networks. The unique fea ture of such implementation is discussed by comparison with traditional serial d igital computers. Then the morphological reconstruction for color image is prese nted via a component-wise grey-scale reconstruction way. The application to nois e suppression at high spatial frequency is also studied. The simulation results are given. This paper is applicable to the real-time processing for color images and silicon eye construction based on fuzzy cellular neural networks.
